Abstract

The study chronicles the meaning of resource management, management of human and material resources, the conceptual clarification of Technical Vocation Education in the broadest sense. The wastages in Technical Vocation Education and effective management technique. The environmental problems that mankind faces today has been traced to man's unguided and uncontrolled quest for development and industrialization led by inherent greed, self-centeredness and selfishness all of which have resulted to indiscreetly and indiscriminately exploitation of natural resources resulting in escalated environmental crisis of different dimension. This paper objectively identifies the techniques for reducing wastage in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for Effective Education and development in Nigeria. It was recommended that Technical Vocational Education should be properly funded by State and Federal Government. Maintenance culture should be adopted in Technical Vocational Education. Wastage should be reduced in Technical Vocational Education and competent and trained professionals should be allowed to operate the machines and equipment.
